During an incident, the right fire extinguisher - in the right hands - could make the difference between safety and disaster in any business or home. Our BAFE-certified engineers will conduct a survey of your premises, assess your Fire Extinguisher and accessory needs in accordance with British Standards, and advise on the requirements.

When we start working with you, there are no hidden costs. As part of your service fee, we’ll set out a servicing schedule to inspect tamper seals, gauge dots, service labels and certification. A full list of extended servicing and refill costs is available on request.

Maintaining Your Fire Extinguishers

We can conduct maintenance on any type of fire extinguisher. In line with British Standards, extinguisher testing should be carried out at least once a year, with extended servicing occurring every 5 or 10 years, depending on the type of extinguisher.

A basic fire extinguisher service consists of:

Visually inspecting the extinguisher for any possible damage, wear and/or corrosion.
Checking for damage or blockage of the safety pins, tamper seals, pressure gauges, hoses and O-rings, which will be replaced if necessary

Ensuring information and labelling is legible
Cleaning of the cylinder
Checking wall mounts are secure

In addition, we recommend that a member of our staff or one of your employees become a dedicated inspector or fire warden and check your extinguishers every month for any damage and to ensure the pressure gauge is still in the green. These checks can reduce the risk of failure between annual inspections.
