CONFINED SPACE ENTRY TRAINING - INITIAL
This 2 day course is for personnel who are required to work within a confined space (sewers, tanks, pipes, silos etc). The course provides those personnel with the basic knowledge necessary to understand the principles of safe entry into confined spaces and equip them with the skills required to react positively and safely in an emergency.
The course includes:
- Definition of a confined space, the potential hazards and precautions
- Confined Space First Aid and Resuscitation
- Gas Detection and Assessment of Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment and Escape Apparatus
- Risk Assessment, Safe Systems and Permit to Work
- Emergency Procedures and Evacuation Techniques
- All theory instruction is enhanced by extensive practical exercises using Fire Security's unique facilities.
